Re: Have some of the usual members left Racketboy forums ?
Over the past few months I've sold it all -- the systems, games, collectibles, posters, books, miscellaneous paraphernalia -- and have dedicated more time to other things with all of the money earned. (Hot diggity ... there's always another collector/enthusiast/someone with too much disposable incom...

Silver Surfer, on the NES.
It might actually be the reason why I hate the entire shmup genre. It's such a bad game, I can still feel my childhood rage when I think about it.

Re: What are you playing?
It really is disheartening to beat a boss over and over again, only to have your game freeze each time, or your Lego Thor falls continuously through the level. It'd be a great game if it weren't practically unplayable. My gf and I just gave up. Did we play the same game? I've played Lego Marvel all...

Re: Why Isn't There a More Prominent Game Boy Scene?
Picross is cool stuff. One of the few puzzlers I enjoy. Picross is where it's at. I'm guessing you mean Mario's Picross right? My first game in the series was the DS game and that made me search for the GB game to try it out. It was a good call! Love this one. Grabbed it on the 3DS eShop too. I'm o...

Re: Nintendo 3DS
While we're on 3DS eShop titles, has anyone played Soul of Darkness. It's a DSi Ware game that seems to have received solid reviews in 2010 & looks a lot like Castlevania SotN. It's been on my wish list for some time. It's by Gameloft, the masters of "we're totally ripping off your game bu...

Re: Nintendo 3DS
It's just puzzling right? How do you backpedal after your previous two handhelds were NOT region locked? When you discover that importing titles from different regions is significantly impacting your profit potential of releasing the imported title in the region to which it is currently being impor...

Re: Running into CPU heat issues all of a sudden
That is true, the quality of the paste and the application of the paste are very important. You want a very, very, thin layer. Like, squeeze a little blob out, and spread it around using an old plastic credit card/guitar pick. You want the area to be completely covered, but in as thin of a layer as ...

Re: Gamestop to begin taking credit/selling retro consoles/g
What exactly is the end game here? Does GS think this will be a massive boost to their bottom line sales? There's only a limited supply of this stuff out there, minus what's been broken, dumped, modded, painted, shells & PCB's gutted for repros, clocks, USB drives...I just don't get it. Are the...
