SNES and Super Famicom RPG List
Re: SNES and Super Famicom RPG List
If I were you, I'd check out titles like Brain Lord, Soul Blazer, Illusion of Gaia, and Terranigma. Maybe also Secret of Evermore. Those sound like they would be more your style.
Re: SNES and Super Famicom RPG List
Thanks for the recommendations, MrPopo and Ack.
But I already know most (if not all) of the English (both officially and unofficially translated) SNES/Genesis/Sega CD action rpgs (as it's my favourite genre).
After seeing this great list of RPGs, I was just wondering which of the 'console-style rpgs' did not have random encounters.

Wanna say something? Just PM, don't mail me, I rarely check my email inbox.

Amazing list. Nice work!
And while I agree with the sentiment posted earlier during discussion of Goof Troop in this thread that some hidden gems get elevated far higher than they really should be, the example someone gave is not a good one. Demon's Crest is amazing, full stop.

It used to be a nice list... until Photobucket impounded it

Sniffle.

The reason I lament the loss is because those were really good shots. Very appropriate and demonstrated the play value of the games.

They can be rescued, no?
Re: SNES and Super Famicom RPG List
Not sure, were they actually your images Bone?
I forgot that some of my images on Backloggery were Photobucket today. Just flat out lost my Samus avatar I had there that was cool. Waybackmachine does no good here, you'll just get broken images. Damn you photobucket...

You get what you pay for. Photobucket has been shit for so many years now, though, that I'm surprised anyone still uploads anything to them.
