I missed this earlier, I do not really have the setup to do recording currently. I will tinker around with it this weekend, but I am pretty slammed for the rest of the week - got some new big projects with a strict deadline (building a DDR machine before the Derby party)

Complete crap run. Totally unfocused - running around like i'm doing a speedrun - jumped on a spike. No rush, no enemies, just plopped myself onto a spike. Ughhiddy ugh.

Mike, you are suffering from a psychological disorder that I refer to as "the curse of Spelunky." It's when you start to get good at later levels so subconsciously you start to treat the early levels as easy. Your brain is like "c'mon let's get these over with." And you rush through. You forget that with one credit, every level is as dangerous as every other level. 1-1 is as likely to kill you as 4-1. But you start to think of the early ones as "easy" and you want to breeze through.

That's pretty much it, yeah. For the first time - I put in a run BEFORE my daily to loosen up. Was a really solid run; coasted to Ice Caves w/65K and some nice tools.

Then just dove into the daily all confident and biffed it. I won't say soul-crushing - but...kinda close.
