Darkstalkers 4 (Are Not Dead)

Post by CD AGES »

I was gonna add this to the already established "Resurrection" thread but figure it deserves it's own thread.

After its been speculated on how much is riding on the success of this announced Darkstalkers digital compilation to ultimately pursude Capcom into investing in a brand new entry in the franchise... There was rumor already goin around that Capcom showed a concept trailer for DS4 behind closed doors to some of the press. Well here's the proof...

Oh! Hey Noise, you better be sitting down and catch a breather on this one ;)

So, you should buy a game in the hopes that they'll maybe make another game. Publishers have been so keen on pulling that stunt recently.

Beyond Good & Evil HD, anyone?

While I totally want Darkstalkers 4... MML3 anyone? Though the more optimistic side remembers that SSF2THDR was the impetus for SF4, so who knows.

No it was not. HDRemix was a result of a poll taken by Capcom which unanimously showed that fans wanted a Hi-Def remake of SF2. It's creation was driven purely by fan demand (so much so that the game saw completion even after Capcom's realization early on that they heavily underestimated the production of the game which is why we haven't seen digital releases of their fighting games receive similar treatment since). SF4 was well underway and in pipeline. HD Remix had little to no influence in the games inception.
