I will retract my opposition to embedded videos. Others have made good points and given that we already have huge animated gifs, why not videos?

See, even this comment is against the norm of the internet. Most people dig in and never change views, regardless of any counter points made. I love this community.

Ok -- once I get some of the technical bugs taken care of, I'll have extensions for "Likes" and video embeds on my todo list.

Might I also suggest... I had mentioned in the other thread in regards to notifications, the ability to put "@username" in a post which gives that person a notification. It's very useful, and definitely another way to help keep up forum participation. Not sure what it's called. Username pinging?

I've noticed this actually works currently. I've got the notifications. It's just forum-only notifications vs email. (and I think the term is "tagging" at least on other platforms)

When you look at the settings for notifications, there isn't any option there for tagging.
