there's no autofire on Dreamcast...

I thought the right trigger was autofire?

is it? I never touched a trigger. I was fairly sure that the manual just mentioned the 3 buttons for shot, close and bomb.

I'll check when I get home tho. If this game does have autofire then my score's about to jump...

I thought so, but my memory could be faulty.

Let us know when you know.

DC does have autofire. Not sure if it's automatically assigned to one of the triggers, you may have to go into the option menu to change it.

brutal. This is one of those games that I can do an amazing stage 1 and then lose all 3 lives in a row on stage 2. I have a better score to post tonight, but I want to put some more runs in first.

Straight up. Stage 3 makes me furious no matter what it is.

Whelp, I suck!

My best score so far is 190,500 on Stage 3. I can't make it past Stage 3. I can't even consistently GET to Stage 3. :D

I am playing in MAME with my Xbox One controller for PC.

Cool game though.

I agree with all this.

Also, MAME needs auto fire desperately. My poor thumb!

Marlowe - i've got you on Team 7.

===============================

Only 2 runs in tonight. I should have more time end of week, been 2 straight 12-hour days at work to start the week. :|

2nd run was 280K - I should be able to do a lot more so i'll hold off on a pic for now.

Yes - Right Trigger on DC is autofire - you can map it to another button. I don't use it - it's too hard to get back and use your power shot mechanic, so I just tap tap tap.

Things to remember - chaining medals is where your points are at. I had 115K on stage 1 my first run, about 35K of which was medals.

Bombs are delayed in this game - you need to anticipate your bomb usage, about a 1/2 second faster than you would in "other" games. Also - don't die with 3-4 bombs in stock; the bonus for keeping them isn't nearly as critical in other shooters.
