I've put 10 hours or so into Jamestown - it is a very deep game with tons of room for scoring. The music is expertly done and is worth purchase alone - seriously, i've put this game on just to listen to the attract music. There are 6 stages iirc each with 5 levels of difficulty and the difficutly difference is significant.

I've not played the other 2 as yet.

I had a tough pick between Jamestown and Danmaku. Heard of both quite a bit, and have never touched either.

the music in Jamestown IS stunning. I actually got the soundtrack thru Steam as well.

I voted Danmaku 2 though. That game is really, really cool - and I haven't wrapped my head around the scoring yet. I think it's pretty overlooked, and cheap.

6 hours isn't that long for a shmup. I played it long enough to 1cc various different modes and get all the achievements bar one (score a trillion).

Actually, it's only 5 hours according to my Steam stats.
