Who designed Dangun Feveron?

by Erik_Twice Wed Dec 04, 2013 6:13 am

I can't find any references. Any other games he was involved with?

Takashi Ichimura is the only Cave staff I can find that is credited for programming Dangun Feveron. He is also credited for work on Deathsmiles, Ketsui, and Nin-2-Jump.

The only non-Cave game I can find that he is credited for programming is Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer.

Oh, and Dangun Feveron is amazing <3

I know that Cave programmers are involved in the design but they often give Design credit so I don't think I can claim Feveron is Ichimura's game.

Oh well, I'll just say "Cave", I suppose. Shame we know so little about game designers.

Fair point. Although I would point out that, when Feveron was developed, Cave had a very small staff. I haven't found anything that suggests Ikeda or Asada designed the game, so it would only make sense that Ichimura did.

Just speculation though, based on how small the company was, and how Feveron doesn't feel anything like Ikeda or Asada's work.

i agree with you though, the lack of information with these older designers is sad. We should just know who did this game, instead of having to speculate.

Edit: So, I just credit-fed through the game (the horror) to check out the credits. Of course, all the names are in kanji. There was one lone name, at the top of the "Programs" category, that was in English. It simply read "CRUSTY"

Also, Stages 4&5 of this game are nightmarishly difficult, and not in Cave's usual fashion.

It's a very difficult game! You need all the strategy and planning of a Toaplan game but it's SO MUCH FASTER.

Still really great! I love all the small homages, like the fleet of enemies that come from behind at your sides that's taken from Truxton's stage 5.
