Eh, thats a bit extreme  I'll take Bullet Soul over the VN.

I would also feel safe saying that any Cave shooter is better than any Milestone shooter, but I still play Milestone shooters.

Yeah, Again, I LOVE Bullet Soul and it's kick ass music. Wish I could download the Caravan mode.

Not to knock your opinion, but I really don't get this. No Ibara BL?

I don't feel worthy of even playing Ibara. It's too difficult for me at current.

Ibara BL? Don't even know where that one came from. Its a pretty good shooter, I do enjoy the way you play with rank to score, and how the game actually encourages bomb use, but to me, it does not hold a candle to Muchi Muchi Pork. I actually prefer the original Ibara to BL personally, but I am pretty sadistic when it comes to shooters.

Granted, Muchi Pork is my favorite shoot em up, bar none, so its really not a knock on Ibara BL, or any other Cave shooters, as I do enjoy almost all of them.

I just love how Pork can feel like Battle Garegga and Mushi Futari at the same time. You are medalling, which is awesome, but its not traditional medalling, as you control when the medals appear, and you control when they go up in value. The game is very visually pleasing when you get good at filling the screen with 10k point snouts.

On top of that, you have some of the craziest on-purpose boss milking ever. Its very pleasing to piss the boss off by destroying all of their parts, to the point where you can barely dodge his attacks, just to bomb all those bullets into piggies that you can collect for points. I love that the game gives you extends just so that you can kill yourself, but in an entirely different way than Garegga does.

Then there is the 2nd loop requirements, which go against everything you are supposed to be doing to score, making the game completely different. However, it still goes towards a higher score in the end, as once you get to the 2nd loop, you can score like mad.

And somehow, on top of all of this, the game is actually pretty accessible to a new player. Its just so good on every level, and emcompasses everything I love about shmups.

I bought Pink Sweets/MMP a couple years ago thinking I'd spend more time with the former. I was wrong.

I also picked up the game when it was new, knowing nothing about either game, and I also expected to like PS much more than MMP. I actually wasn't crazy about either game when I first played them. I do like PS, but if I'm going to get destroyed by a Yagawa game, I'd prefer that game to not have a bunch of girls giggling at me while it does so.

Now, if we talk about Arrange modes, Pink Sweets wins hands down.
