Turns out the score I posted for Sonic Wings 3 was for the Euro version. I wondered why it seemed harder than the previous games :)

Anyway, switched to the Japanese version, with more success:

SONIC WINGS SPECIAL

406,100 - DocHauser - 1-9 - Captain Silver - PSP (PSX version)

Final stage. Your score seems a bit dependent on which random stages you get plus which route you take for stages 5 and 7. I picked Bosporus and Hawaii, which doesn't seem to be a very high scoring path, though it is fairly easy...

Also, do AF2 and AF3 require unibios 3.0? I only have up to 2.3 in Mame, and have not had any luck getting these two running yet.

I have been getting 2K, all versions.

I've used US MVS 1.0 for AF2 & AF3. No issues. Might want to try those.

I think I'm using the 2.3 Unibios. But with MAME you can change the region in the Tab-menu, so you don't really need the unibios unless you want to use the autofire cheat.

Weird, when I try to audit the games so that they show up on my "Available" list, it fails because it is missing unibios3.0

It does this to Strikers 1945 Plus as well.

Silly question, what version of MAME are you running? That could be the issue.

If you're using MAME Plus, apparently it has some sort of issue with Neo Geo games, so that might be the reason. I was having problems getting Strikers Plus and Aero Fighters 2 and 3 to show up in my available list, then I read that it needs an updated bios set. After a bit of googling, I managed to find it. Just search for 'mame plus 0.148 bios' and there should be a Japanese link on the first page of results that has the proper BIOS set.

You can use all of your lives, just no continues. I think you have it set up correctly as is, 3 lives.

There might be extends at certain point amounts that give you extra lives, which you can also use, just no continues.
