Ok, i'll see if I can figure out in the dip settings where to add a 3rd life...that will help!

EDIT: can't find it. Found a cheat database to get permanent supershot, invincibility and infinite lives, but nothing to just add a single life.

How are you adding it via MAME? There are 30 diff dip switches I can access in the unibios, but would prefer not to do up to 30 soft resets if someone knows which switch it is?

In MAME, press F2 to go into Service Mode. You can change the soft dip settings from there.

I can access the dip settings on my MVS cart, but I have no idea what does what. I just tried setting them all off and all on, nothing :/ I'll keep looking...

There should be some more info in the description and comments.

As DH said, in MAME F2 will take you to Service Mode for Neo Geo and most of the modern shmups we play. Here you can inspect and change the settings.

After selecting on the main service screen "SETTING UP THE SOFT DIP", this is the screen for Plus. Default is 2, changed to 3, and I also shut off Continue just to get to the high score screen faster without forcing a countdown to 0. I also noticed C button can be enabled for autofire but I'm leaving it on its default as well.

Yeah, I have unibios 3.2 and don't have those options :/ The youtube vid was for a unibios 2.0. There's a way, i'll keep searching.

All right there in the OP. Strikers 1945, 1945 II, 1945 III/'99, and 1945 Plus.

Jason, do you or Joe happen to know how to add a 3rd life to the MVS cart of Strikers PLUS?

Also, for this group - any interest in any of the other Neo Geo titles?

I don't want to overdo it since I know it is work to keep them updated, but i'd be interested in any of these:
Sonic Wing / Aerofighters 2 and/or 3
Ironclad / Brikinger
Andro Dunos
Captain Tomaday
Blazing Star
Viewpoint
Zed Blade

If there are at least 5 interested in any of the above, make a post here and i'll start a thread for one of them (and if someone else wants to do another ---- awesome.)
