What are the best shooters on the NES?
I know the basics like Zanac and Gradius, but I'd like to hear your favorites!

Well I just sold King's Knight to Cerulean. It's technically a schmup, but it's on foot, and the ground is scrolling so you have to keep up and not get pinned at the bottom. One interesting mechanic to it was how you could blast your way through mountains, basically digging your own tunnels. It was from Squaresoft, of all companies.
