KOF 13 Steam Edition

Post by marurun »

So, if you've picked up this game for Steam recently, or have had it a while now, please add me to your Steam list (Maururun / Fruitbane). I'd like to get a healthy player community here at RB for this title. I've learned a few troubleshooting tricks and have some links to networking/port forwarded tweaks that may improve network performance. If we can get this running smoothly for as many RB players as possible, we can foster some KOF beat-down.

Added. I dig this game a lot, been playing it locally quite a bit these last few weeks.

Anyone interested in playing, feel free to add me too. Vlees122

I would be all up for this if I wasn't so far from the US. Although during the beta I had great connections from Trinidad to California.

Sorry folks, the fall has begin and my schedule has changed. I'm still trying to get things in order. Once life and my schedule settle a bit I'll be up for some matches. I also need to figure out which pad is better for playing, my old Logitech Precision, or my new Afterglow 360 pad.

I like a stick myself. Unless you're mapping your rolls, EX and blowbacks they can be a bit hard to get out reliably on a controller (for me anyway). My game improved considerably when I moved to a stick on this game, and I normally prefer a pad for 4-button fighters.

Any time you're up for a game, let me know. I'm always willing to play this.

I simply can't afford a stuck worth owning right now. I'd rather play and suck than not play at all.

Don't worry, dude, I know a guy locally who plays at a very high level and he always uses the stock PS3 controller.

I own 42 sticks in total... and still play the majority of fighters (including this) on PS pad.

All about comfort. Playing on a stick or any other peripheral doesn't raise your level of play inherently... at best it raises your awareness for what your real comfort zone is while playing. Certain fighters I am more comfortable on stick for, other pad. It's all about enduring the trails and tribulations of playing matches on each, taking your lumps while getting it down and then deciding what one is best for you.

LOTS of top players in most current games are still pad users. Don't believe all the hype you hear.
