How does it compare to more modern VNs in terms of immersion?

Re: Visual Novels
Oh God it's not even close.
This is a cutesy licensed title that's over quickly and basically an extremely truncated interactive version of the anime. Only play this if you're a huge fan.
If you remember the anime, Keitaro "dates" every girl at least once. In the game, this is where the path splits and the player is given a choice to date one (or to babysit Sara lol).
Naru's ending is the easiest to get, and it only takes about an hour from start to finish. Then you can simply reload a save and choose another girl (the choice is made in one of the final chapters, so you don't have to replay much).

Have either of you played through Punchline for Vita or PS4?

No. I've seen it mentioned in passing but I'm not familiar with the source material and don't have a tremendous interest in it.

Re: Visual Novels
Started Chaos;Head last night. Only played through the intro scene but really enjoyed it. I have high hopes for this one. I did enjoy Chaos;Child but it didn't need to last fifty godforsaken hours. According to VNDB Chaos;Head is much shorter.
English patch here for anyone interested:

Re: Visual Novels
Really hoping they’ll release that one for console or VITA! OR SWITCH!
I have never been a computer gamer. I have the computer - many of them but... I just can’t. Never have. Never will.
Ahem. Also want Photon Flowers and Photon Melodies on a gaming system. In another two years I should be done with Alternative. Haven’t started yet...
In chapter 7 of Unlimited.
Might take a break and try Nurse Love Addiction before Alternative.

Re: Visual Novels
Years ago there was an "announcement" of a possible Chaos;Head Noah (the remake) localization, but I don't think anything came of it.
You may already know this, and I don't know how significant it is to the plot (if at all), but the "Nurse Love" games were localized in the wrong order. Syndrome is supposed to come before Addiction, but Addiction was translated three years before Syndrome. Just a heads up.

Re: Visual Novels
Is anyone familiar with getting the Moon Mirror English Patch for Fate/Stay Night to work? I bought a brand new copy of the game off of ebay and am attempting to install it using the English patch but I keep getting an error saying "File copying failed, please restart the installation procedure"
I've tried it multiple times with different compatibility mode options but keep getting the same error. Looking it up online I mostly see folks posting problems/solutions for pirated copies and I'd rather not download the game after getting my hands on an actual legit copy.
Maybe I should try it on my other PC...
