I can't actually beat Strider... Was willing to power through Shadow of the Ninja, though. Such a good little game...

Osman is pretty much exactly Strider but with feet instead of swords. Arcade only though so will need MAMEing.

Not linear acion games but Ori 1 and Strider 2014 give the player avatar great movement options. If the latter had a bit more enemy variety and a more colorful aesthetic it would leave the previous games in the dust I think.

Strider 2 is an easier alternative to Strider 1, on console.
