I picked this up on Steam when it was a fiver as well. I played and beat the original many times back in the day. They've done a very good job on this game. I've never played the second one but my friend had it and watched him play to completion when I was a kid.

Turok is very worth it. I didn't wait beyond it being I think 33% off as I wanted to play it again last year. It actually handles very well and the little bit of sprucing up without totally just tossing the original graphics aside is kind of nice to see. Also after using the old mouse and keyboard setup the N64 game just lost much of its appeal too. :)

I already have too many games in March. This needs an unintentional delay to match my schedule.

Nice! Steam already has a page for the game, and shows that it will be available on the 16th. GoG does not yet have the game on their site, but I would hope they get it the same day.

Haha damn, looking at it now and smoothed out, looks like Unreal meets Serious Sam. I always liked 2 because it went a bit harder into the sci-fi. Glad we're finally getting it.

I always enjoyed Turok 2s multiplayer, especially the waterwall stage. The singleplayer was a weaker affair than Goldeneye or Turok 1 to me.

I think the fog hurt it a lot, and there was far more backtracking for me in Turok 2 than in the first, but overall I appreciated how much more varied the levels felt in the sequel when compared to the first.

Also the Turok 2 flamethrower is probably where I learned to love flamethrowers in video games.

For me it was the RTCW flamethrower. That thing was legit.
