Are you unsure about what a mod is or what this game is about?

A mod uses the basic engine of another game and modifies the content to be something different. Half Life 2 uses Valve's Source engine. If you have that game, or another Source engine game, you can use Source mods.

"NEOTOKYO° takes place in and around a fictionalized Tokyo approximately 30 years in the future. Mankind has begun to fuse with technology. Government and corporate corruption have transformed Tokyo into a deadly dystopian nightmare. I have no idea what a mod is although I think I know what a source engine is

I did not know neotokyo is a game. I thought it was like an emulator.
Honestly I thought this was half-life or counter strike multiplayer game that has new levels
or better graphics.

I tried to google, but didn't get the answers I wanted .

I still have no clear thing of what a mod is. Is it simply a game that uses another games engine?
