I've played and beat Rondo of Blood (translated version) on my PCE Duo R. I absolutely loved it! However after almost two years of owning the console I've still managed avoided start buying games for it. It's just so damn expensive and I never come across the games in the wild. For now I'm sticking with my spindle full of burned games and a multicart instead. And although the real deal would be awesome to have, at ~$160 its probably not worth only going one of my shelves.

And for the others suggested to buy in NTSC-J format, while not a bad suggestion at all, I don't want to only have a few random import copies for those systems so I am sticking with just looking for the localized versions. I am kinda weird about making my collection look as organized as possible.

I have that OCD as well, . I only want an import if the game never had a NA release.

Right now I'm the same way unless it's a crazy price like little samson or shantae. if the jpn version of it or eur is cheaper and understandable for samson I'll get that and shantae heck that's on the estore for 3ds  But honestly if the pal version is understandable to a non-native then I might sacrifice that ocd if it's cheaper...

I bought Rule of Rose for $20 bucks sealed just a few years ago. You should be able to find that for than $100. While the previously mentioned complaints about it have validity, the game has a psychological creepiness that no other game has, which for me means it is worth a buy, but I personally would not go over $40 max.

Also, Metal Storm is awesome and worth the asking price if you can't find it for less.

Cubivore I have seen for much less recently.

You can play this through youtube. It's horrible no matter what you play it on.

My have the times changed

I wish I didn't have emotional attachment to my US NES Mega Man games or I'd sell them in a heartbeat and just get the Famicom versions.

While I'm not a big emulation or piracy guy... burn Snatcher on a CDR & try it (nice on original hardware vs PC emu) before plunking down that $. It's a love it or hate it... I really dig it after doing just this. Actually pretty surprised this one hasn't seen a remake or re-release.
