Indie Royale: The April Fools Bundle

http://www.indieroyale.com/

Defense Grid
Explodemon
Hack, Slash, Loot
Alien Zombie Megadeath
Astro Tripper

A lot of these appear to have a very old school feel to them. Explodemon is a sidescrolling platformer, Astro Tripper is a Defender-style shmup, Hack Slash Loot is a roguelike, and Alien Zombie Megadeath is an old school run n gun game.

The only one I have already played is Defense Grid, which is one of the greatest Tower Defense games out there.

I haven't played any of them either. About a year or two ago, I would see people on GOG's forums bring up Depths of Peril as an example of a great indie CRPG that often gets overlooked. Tobe's Adventure also has some hype behind it for being an excellent platformer, but again, I can't speak from personal experience for this bundle.

Well, I bought it. I won't be able to get to them for a bit, but I'll let people know how they are hopefully before time runs out.

Tobe's Vertical Adventure is from the same people that did Tobe's Hookshot Adventure, which was pretty fun I thought and free.
