Matt Chat

Post by Menegrothx »

I used the search function and saw a few mentions of Matt Chat on this forum, but I think that he deserves a thread of his own.
Matt chat is youtube show where Matt Barton interviews (mostly) retired game designers, programmers and developers from Ralph H. Baer to John Romero.

I'm starting to see your interviews as museum material and I'm serious. In 100 years when people look for information about all these people who are seldom interviewed your videos may become truly valuable.

I'm posting this here because I'm sure that some of you will find it very intresting to hear what the person who might've designed one of your favorite games of all time has to say about what it was like to develop that game, his/her thoughts behind different game design choiches and so on. I know I do, and I think it's sad that a show that's doing such a huge service to "our cause" (=documenting video game history) has so few views.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box
