Master Higgins retires from Hudson..

Post by Rurouni_Fencer »

Takahashi Meijin, more familiarly in the States and Europe as Master Higgins in Adventure Island, retired today from Hudson after being with the company for almost 30 years as both an executive and unofficial company spokesperson/mascot.

Takahashi gained notoriety in the 1980's for being the only person at the time to smash the fire button of Star Soldier and Star Force a blisteringly-fast 16 times per second!
In 1986, he became the model for the protagonist of Hudson's Adventure Island, a home adaptation of the company's successful arcade hit, Wonder Boy.

Uh, yeah. This.

That's awesomE! But then bittersweet. But, hey, all the best for a great guy.
