2013 2012 2011 2010Home is a haunted house style pixel-based game (with nicely drawn art) that tells a choose-your-own adventure kind of story (I guess?). I didn't think it was very good.
Sunset Overdrive's first couple of hours don't do it any favors as to me it felts slow, clunky, and unintuitive and the story and characters were more grating than endearing. But...the last 2/3 or so of the game keeps getting better as it goes and as your movement abilities and arsenal/powers unlock, the game really opens up in ways that are a ton of fun. The game looks fantastic, plays silky smooth, and was a lot of fun when all is said and done. The closest comparison I could make would be something like one of the Infamous games - and this is better than any of those on pretty much all counts.
10 to go...
