I didn't find the controls to be that outdated. I think they work well for its purpose. I admit that the QTE sections are just strange and kinda clunky. I also think that the constant interruptions (probably because of loading) are not particularly great since it breaks up the flow of gameplay while you're just getting into the groove.

Thanks! I've been indulging in Saturn lately, which isn't a bad thing at all. :P

I really need to grab some stunners though since I've got Virtua Cop 1/2 to play as well as HotD on the way from Pierre (Toktogul).

Been playing it since November, but I beat Super Mario Sunshine last night. The final level - and boss battle - took me nearly an hour since I kept failing over and over at Corona Mountain.

1. Sniper Elite V2 (PS3)(TPS)
2. Teen Agent (PC)(Point and Click Adventure)
3. Alpha Protocol (PS3)(RPG)
4. Beneath A Steel Sky (PC)(Point and Click Adventure)
5. Imscared - A Pixelated Nightmare (PC)(Horror)
6. Ys III: Wanderers from Ys (SNES)(RPG)
7. Celestial Mechanica (PC)(Platformer)
8. Gravity Bone (PC)(First Person Adventure)
9. Secret of Mana (SNES)(RPG)
10. Lure of the Temptress (PC)(Point and Click Adventure)
11. Mario's Early Years: Fun With Numbers (SNES)(Edutainment)
12. CoD of Duty (PC)(FPS)
13. The Bard's Tale (PS2)(RPG)
14. The Great Circus Mystery, Starring Mickey and Minnie (SNES)(Platformer)
15. Deus Ex (PC)(FPS)
16. The King of the Wood (PC)(FPS)
17. Shadows of the Damned (PS3)(Horror Adventure)
18. Chuck Rock (SNES)(Platformer)

So yeah, beat Chuck Rock. The SNES version of the game doesn't include the plot in the beginning and only features an edited version of the ending, because the kiddies can't know sex exists! I feel bad for Chuck Rock, as I don't necessarily think it is a terrible game, though it's certainly isn't great. The art style is cute and entertaining, but the gameplay is bland, and the music is generally simplistic and repetitive beyond the game's opening, which I enjoy.

Chuck Rock isn't great, and even amongst the various versions, the SNES is far from the best. But I still enjoyed the time I spent with it.

Recently beat the Story Mode of "Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds" on Easy Mode with Mikoto. Also unlocked 18 of the 30 Achievements, totalling 215(G).

Still to do:

* Story Mode w/ Mikoto, remaining difficulties, the last two are still unlocked
* Story Mode w/ Waka, all four difficulties
* Story Mode w/ Itsuki, all four difficulties
* Story Mode w/ Yuzuha, all four difficulties
* Remaining 12 Achievements

1. Okamiden (NDS)
2. Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection (Wii)
3. Pinball Hall of Fame: The Gottlieb Collection (Wii)
4. Cave Story 3D (3DS)
5. Theatrhytm Final Fantasy (3DS)

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy is a delightful music and rhythm game based off the Final Fantasy franchise. The game play is very solid, and it utilizes the best tracks from all thirteen Final Fantasy games. (If Nintendo and Square teamed up to make "Elite Beat Agents x Final Fantasy", they would end up with this game.)

In any event, I defeated Chaos last night, and I watched the credits roll. I also have "S" ranks on all of the basic courses, and I have "A" or "S" ranks on many of the expert courses. Many of the game's features remained locked, however, and I suspect that I would have to put 100+ hours into the game to unlock all of them. I enjoyed the game immensely, and I will probably play this game intermittently whenever I need a quick hit of (a) solid music/rhythm gameply or (b) Final Fantasy nostalgia.

I highly recommend it to any one with a 3DS, and - I must mention - that it has the best "reversible" insert that I have ever seen:

I love the reverse side of the cover as well. It is a clever way of hiding those hideous "eco" boxes.

Tomb Raider - PC
This was a total surprise. I was originally turned off from all the 'Uncharted Clone' talk, but its far from the truth. The game is amazingly entertaining and I could not stop playing it, I finished with 97%, so I have a few small items to find.

The pacing of the game is great, you start just trying to survive, then the game starts to turn it up, you are given new gadgets and skills right up until the end, you are encouraged to go back to old areas and explore once you have new skills (similar to a Metroid title), just all round loved the game.
