Polymorphous Perversity

This game is being developed by Nicolaus Chaud, the same guy that made Beautiful Escape: Dungeoneer, which I wrote about before and which seriously disturbed me. It was a game about cruelty and torture, yet, the experience was still utterly fascinating despite being revolting. Chaud likes to make games that get under your skin and that deal with secret primitive urges that are so buried in human consciousness that if they ever surface at all, they make us intensely uncomfortable. That's why I'm looking forward to his next game. Beautiful Escape: Dungeoneer offended me, but it did so brilliantly. I hope to be every bit as distrubed with Polymorphous Perversity, which deals more with sex rather than cruelty and torture

This game looks like some mix of Jet Set Radio and Fract to me. Theirs an angular richly hued graphical style and a lot of impossible skating and rail riding. The trailer is looking good. I look forward to trying the finished product.

The Cave

This is the newest game about to come out from Ron Gilbert, the designer who played a key role in games such as Maniac Mansion and the Monkey Island series. This should be fun.

Among The Sleep

I love the concept of this game. You play the role of a 2 year old who has been put to bed, but keeps hearing and seeing creepy things while others are asleep. This teaser trailer makes me think they will really make this work and it will be genuinely scary.

and unless I'm missing an earlier reference, the title is taken from an awesome Cage song.

Scale

Image

What if you could grow or shrink things as much as you like? That's the basic concept behind Scale. It's a first person puzzle game where you can grow and shrink things as much as you want, however, there is only so much "scale juice" in the world, so you made to shrink something to get more scale juice if you are going to use scale juice to make something grow later.

First, don't let the first part of the trailer fool you. This is not a stop-motion game. While that would be cool, Walter's water physics graphics stand on their own. This game looks like it has some cool tech, charming atmosphere, and fun gameplay as long as it's nothing like Gish.
