Berserk: Millennium Falcon English Translation Patch Release

Post by brunoafh »

Fans of the Berserk anime/manga, or the Dreamcast game, may be happy to hear that the PS2 game has gotten an English translation patch! There is also an Italian language patch. I have not tried it, but supposedly it does not run very well with emulators, so patching, burning, and playing on a real console is the way to go. Here is the YouTube page it was posted on, the patch links are in the video details. Also posted them here. Instructions on how to apply the patch are in the rar files.

Cool as I just got that. Now is there a link to a page that doesn't include shitty script nonsense I haven't blocked, and thus can't view the page?

I didn't mean that as a dig at you. I'm just annoyed that pages use scripts from everywhere and in trying to block ones from shitty ad sites in order to prevent garbage from getting on my PC, some pages break. But web pages never tell you what and where stuff is coming from. Sometimes I'll have blocked something elsewhere and that is fine, then I go to some other random page and it just doesn't work or load.

I got the patch from that new link. Thanks.

Yeah, I hear you. It's a pretty upload sketchy site. The guy doesn't seem to have any official site or anything though so that's all I could post. I should have just uploaded it myself from the start. I hope you enjoy the game.

Also a tip to anyone that is going to try to emulate this. The cutscenes don't appear properly (sometimes not at all) in hardware mode in PCSX2, but they appear if you set the renderer to software mode. Obviously the visuals look better in hardware mode, but yeah.

I'll rip my disc and patch at some point and play off the PS2 HD. Hopefully it will be ok, but don't know when I'll get around to trying it.
