Best 16 toys of all time, NES + a surprise system
Pretty surprising list on a few from MSN
In chronological order of release date.
Dog on wooden Wheels 1920's
Teddy Bear 1920's
Scooter 1930's
Mickey Mouse doll 1930's
Dollhouse 1940's
Toy Telephone 1950's
Play-doh 1950's
Walkie-Talkie 1950's
Barbie 1960's
Legos 1970's
Etch-A-Sketch 1970's
Nintendo 1980's
Cabbage Patch Kid 1980's
Furby 1990's
Sega Dreamcast 1990's
Ultimate Planetarium 2000's
The NES I was glad to see on there, but the Dreamcast blew me away.
I mean I love the system but I didn't think it would get that kind of thought.

As much as I love the DC, it's no toy.
I'd think to replace the DC with GBA or something.
Weird list.
Play-doh? really? kids were doing play-doh every day all day for years? think not!

the dreamcast made this list? seriously? how? as a top 16 toy of all time?
wasn't the dreamcast released on 9/9/99? so over the next 3 months it became a top 2 toy of the 90s and a top 16 toy of all time? what a shitty list.

if you took a shit, please put it back

why is the GBA a "toy" if the DC isn't?

Re: Best 16 toys of all time, NES + a surprise system
In the end, all consoles are "toys"... they are created to play games and have fun. All the extra bells and whistles don't change that fact. I am very happy the NES is on there because it brings back all the memories I had from when I was growing up during the late 80s and 90s.

Re: Best 16 toys of all time, NES + a surprise system
I played with play-doh pretty much every day. I think if I still owned some, I still would too.
But frankly, the Etch-a-Sketch is something I would love to own. I never had one as a kid, but I loved using them.
Top 10(16) lists are subjective guys, does it really matter if you think they're wrong? Its their list, just read it and enjoy seeing other opinions. If you dont agree with them, fine. Make your own list

It seems crazy to me that Transformers didn't make the list.
Re: Best 16 toys of all time, NES + a surprise system
Strange list. I can understand some parts of the list, but seriously, toys everybody had like a steam engine, Playmobil, Matchbox cars, the Gameboy or a modell railway are missing and the Dreamast made it?
