Re: Mortal Kombat HD Remake - Coming Soon?
I love the run button, because people actually do run at you in a fight sometimes, as for the guys worried its only ps3 I doubt it will but imo you should have a ps3 by now I added one next to my 360 some time ago best 400 bucks I ever spent

Damn, that really does suck. Well, maybe this will cheer some of you up:

Some one ripped MK1 out of MK deception, MKII out of Shaolin Monks and UMK3 out of Armageddon and hacked them together for the PS2. It's only 235MB compressed, so an easy download. It ran fine on HDAdvance 3.0 and whatever the current (at the time of this posting) version is of OPL. Not nearly as good as an MK 1-3 HD release would have been, but at least its something to play with.
Here's hoping that one day we'll get this compilation.

Honestly, I still think these HD remakes will show up as hidden unlockables in the new MK game.
I bet they cancelled the disc release of this project because they didn't want it to steal any of the thunder of the new game. Also, it might make for some cool unlockables

Re: Mortal Kombat HD Remake - Coming Soon?
I really, REALLY hope that's true. I would love to get this. Kind of a bummer that it's download only, I would prefer a disc release. But hell, $10? Either way, I wont complain about a damn thing as long as it actually gets released!
As far as them calling it "arcade-perfect" releases, I doubt they'll be 100% accurate (maybe I'm just trying not to get my hopes up). MKII on PSN is fantastic, but it has some minor flaws that really bug the hell out of me like the sound glitch problem when you knock some one in the pit. We'll see.
