Lol, what does that mean? When else would he do it?

One could argue true competition is about giving it your all and going your hardest from the beginning, not just trying to beat the guy next to you.

Mitchell only played because someone else beat him, and stopped playing the moment he got the high score (essentially suiciding).

It could be argued it makes for a more entertaining story as the high score jumps between challengers. It could also be argued that Billy Mitchell is a complete attention whore. Although the irony is not lost on me that I'm posting on a public forum about him, giving him the attention he so desperately desires.

The funny thing is, most of us wouldn't know or care about who Billy Mitchell or Steve Weibe are if it wasn't for the movie King of Kong. And that movie wouldn't have been as good if Billy Mitchell wasn't such a complete ass and if Steve wasn't so nice (and if both weren't just a little pathetic in their own way). Billy was the bad guy. Steve was the good guy. It's just a Donkey Kong score, but it's the human drama between these two that really makes this matter.

I do not believe any of Mitchels scores after seeing that jumpy tape being accepted. I think Walter Day tends to favor the guys that he knows.

Besides, Twin Galaxies promotes itself as an international or worldwide score keeper but really it is just for NA.

Mitchell did it in front of an audience this time so no jumpy tapes here and Twin galaxies accepts and has scores from all over the world for a long time , it's not like we live in the early 80's or pre-Internet anymore .
