A developer discussed and showed images of an "undisclosed Wii game" that was being worked on. The images look like they could easily be a Jackal remake.

Check out the article and images: http://wiiware.nintendolife.com/news/2009/11/jackal_rebirth_the_next_konami_rebirth_game

Well, it's a 3D game so it probably wont be a ReBirth title, kinda like the new Frogger, I guess.

I know a lot of people are put off by them, but I'm really siked about all the retro-remakes. Contra, Rocket Knight, Castlevania, Jackal, DAMN! Konami must be very happy with all of the money I'm giving them.

A game that looks like Jackal, feels like Jackal, and smells like Jackal? I... I need to sit down.

*is already sitting down*

Oh shit.

You know that Contra Rebirth and Rocket Knight (IDK about Castlevania) aren't remakes, right? They're new games. Anyway, I'm excited as hell. Thanks to these and Capcom's retro-revival (MM9, SF2THD, BC:RA) I'm actually using my PS3. ;)

Hmm. Guess I had just assumed they were each loosely based on previous titles, but you're fully right.

However, Castlevania ReBirth is a 're-envisioning' of the GB Adventure title, which is awesome because SCIV was my favorite Castevania game and was also a 're-envisioning'.

Am I too greedy to want a four player version?

No, I don't think so. The consoles can certainly handle four player online co-op.

My great friend Paulie and I have a tradition every time we get together, beat Jackal. This would be awesome news for us, especially if we could play co-op on-line. Contra rebirth should have included on-line co-op as well.
