Re: Ape Escape or Psychonauts - VOTE / BE HEARD
Ape Escape definitely has a learning curve. I've played the game 4 or 5 times 100% through so it's control scheme feels fine and natural to me by now, but I remember being frustrated when I first started playing the game

Does Ape Escape need a PS1 dual shock to work, or will a PS2 controller work? I seem to remember it was a bit fussy.

Man this is a tough one, they're both excellent.

A PS2 controller should def work.

Had to go Psychonauts.
I've never played either game, but something about Ape Escape just never caught my interest.
Not to say its a bad game, hell I might love it if I played it, but Psychonauts is definitely my priority.

I can say without any hesitation that Psychonauts is the better game. However, I voted for Ape Escape. Why? Because Psychonauts is the poster child of hidden gems, to the point it's actually quite well known. On the other hand, Ape Escape has been forgotten in favor of Spyro and Crash. I feel like more people will be playing something they wouldn't have otherwise if we go with Ape Escape than with Psychonauts.

Catching monkeys sounds good but my vote goes to psychonauts.

Both are very good games, somehow I think the twinstick control aspect of Ape Escape might make it a biased vote for me.
Would Ape Escape include all the PS2 and PSP incarnations? There are some interesting offshoots, maybe someone might have the Mcdonalds disc?
