Together Retro: TMNT - Turtles In Time

Post by noiseredux »

who's playing this month? Which version? Who's your go-to turtle?

I've played the SNES game enough times, so I'm planning on unlocking the arcade port on PS2 (bonus on Mutant Nightmare) right now. Also, if any of y'all were lucky enough to grab the PSN version of Re-Shelled, we should try to organize a 4-Player game sometime this month.

I'll play through Re-Shelled with whoever is interested. Fun port.

I have the XBLA version of Re-shelled. If there are three others interested in playing it on the Xbox, I'm game!

Is Hyperstone Heist that much different from "tit"?

it's kind of... a remix? It's got a lot of similar levels, and then some unique levels.

I beat a slew of Turtles games earlier this year, but I'm down for playing Heist on the Genesis and TIT via Nexus again.

Leonardo is my go to character, but I'm happy to play with any of 'em.

I said earlier this year that I was going to try to get into beat 'em ups a bit more. Might as will play a bit this month. Probably won't end up beating it with how busy/distracted I've been.

Throwing HH and TIT on my PSP when I get home. Donatello is my go-to.

I love this game! And I actually have it, so i'm finally going to participate in one of these!

Going through the SNES version (as that's all I have) and i'm going to be playing as Donatello, because who wouldn't?

If you're looking for a cheap way to get the achievements in re-shelled - you can die in a multiplayer game, not continue, then have everyone else beat it. You'll get every achievement for beating a level as well as any that require you to beat a boss/area without getting hit. The one time I played it one owner of the game did this. There may have been an extra step or some condition in there.

I'll be:

- revisiting the SNES port. Popular rental for me back in the day -- completed it on the hardest difficulty, will re-attempt that feat.

- checking out Hyperstone Heist which looks nearly identical to the SNES.

- in a Together Retro first, playing the actual arcade cabinet on August 10th when I make my monthly arcade run!

This will be a good month.
