What does the (W) mean in a rom suffix?

Post by Mad_Hatter »

I was able to figure out our find what suffixes like M5, !, b1 mean. But I can't find what (W) means anywhere.

If I had to guess, so far I think it means it is a multi-region rom, but I am not absolutely sure.

Total guess, but maybe "World"?

... or maybe you have your roms set to Wumbo.

Thanks for the thorough lists ziggy and emwearz.

The one I was using was a little short compared to these.

Yea, I never seen it till now. But when I was comparing rom sets, it looks like some use (W) as in World and some use (UEJ) as in United States, Europe, Japan.
