Do we know the directory for save file(s)?
I saw a post on Reddit where a guy made a YouTube video showing how he fixed this particular problem, but when I sent it to one of my friends, he said that his file path was totally different. I don't know if it varies by region or build, but I'll post the link if I can find it again.
So nVidia put out one of their "game ready" driver updates for No Man's Sky. Some one said on the GoG forums that it only adds SLI support, but I don't know if that's true. GoG also released an update yesterday, some people said on the GoG forum that the update made their game run worse.
I installed both updates and my game is still running as fine as it ever was. Perhaps slightly better even, but I'm so engrossed in the game that I'm really not paying attention.
I'm over 13 hours right now, and I'm still only in my third system. There's one planet in this system that is just LITTERED with stuff, so I can't help but to keep exploring it. Every where I go, I'm only ~2 minutes walking distance from several other ? locations.
I've found many Exosuit upgrade stations on this planet, so many in a row that I'm tapped out on cash. And I keep finding more! So I'm mining gold, emerald, and whatever rare or valuable elements I come across just to sell them ASAP so I can buy more slots. I think they increase in price by 10k units every time I find one, the last one I bought was 160k.
I found all the blueprints I need to make my own warp cells, so that's good once I'm finally ready to leave this system. I think I'm gonna stay a while longer. This planet is just too rich to leave just yet. I think I only need to discover one more thing before I 100% it and collect that reward.
I finally got a new ship last night, I was still on the starting ship (I used the GoG pre-order bonus ship). I just got sick of the limited cargo slots. So this being my first ship upgrade, I'm kinda disappointed in one thing. After I transferred all my stuff and purchased the ship, my old ship was there "abandoned". I guess this is good in case you're like "OMG I MADE A MISTAKE!" and want it back. But you old ship doesn't have any value? You can't sell it, or trade it for the other ship (trade plus cash). You can only abandon it? So let's say I buy a ship for a million units. Now I want to buy another ship for 2 million units. My 1 million unit ship is now just abandoned and worthless?
Yeah, there needs to be some kind of option to sell your ship instead of just leaving it on the side of the space-road with a white t-shirt hanging out. Have like an "Uncle Proton's Used Spaceships" or some shit and let me trade it in.
I had my first major game error today. I was playing for about 2 hours when the game crashed to the desktop. No warning, just POOF! Luckily, I was searching a planet and there was save points everywhere, so I was saving every few minutes. I only lost about 30 seconds of gameplay. I'm just over 17 hours of play time right now, so I'll just chalk it up to "shit happens." That's not the first time I've had a game crash to the desktop like that.

That happens on PS4 not infrequently, too, though I haven't played since the last update was released.
