Did you order it directly from Amazon, or was it a 3rd party seller? i mean if its directly from Amazon, this is a serious problem.

 That would be bad. Thankfully I know the one on the right is legit. If it were fake it'd be a perfect clone though and then I'd give up.

Edit: You were making a joke right? Bc you have given me a heart attack. If this one is fake I'm in a heap of trouble.

That sucks about the controller lag. It's going to make finding decent controllers in the second-hand market a nightmare.

This was a 3rd Party Fullfilled by Amazon, therefore this stuff is in Amazon Warehouses. I guess it's not "amazon" but when you complain you can only go through there customer service line and cannot contact the seller directly. So this is pretty scarey especially since I didn't know I bought it off a 3rd party. I thought I bought it from Amazon directly. (I saw DS3 on amazon, clicked on add to cart, then submitted order via prime.)

Phew okay... Not funny dsheinem... not funny.

Controller lag is only on the D-Pad. Analog sticks have different issues, they are bit strange to describe but the stiffness is off, but you would only be able to tell if you play on real DS3 and then switch. Also when you move the analog stick off center you can't click L3 or R3. Which actually is important in some games. (i.e in Call of Duty you can't Melee knife while running.)

But the most noticeable thing is the Six-Axis is WAY off. If you play little big planet sort of games. The Six-Axis functions will be useless with knock off controllers.

I guess quite easy to distinguish side by side, but thanks for the little guide, very useful.

I don't mind fake controllers when they are sold as fakes and the seller doesn't try to pass them off as official, to me it's essentially the same as buying a third party controller. I have a fake Xbox 360 controller that was sold to me as a fake so I was cool with it, works fine but some of the buttons don't feel as nice as an official. But it was cheap as chips so there ya go.

Gonna stick to local retail outlets for controllers in the future. I can live with a knock off controller but it has to at least work correctly. I have had tons of 3rd party controllers work fine, why make one and then have it work like shit?
