The last couple years have seen a huge influx of lesser-known Japanese developed titles localizing to America. Mainstream gaming journalism is really good with keeping up with the more well known titles, but not so much with the more niche games.
Where can I find some good recommendations or a dedicated journalist/reviewer (text or youtube or anything) that focuses on these titles from Level 5, Nis, Atlus, XSeed, Koei, etc?
I'm referring to titles like Witch and the Hundred Knight, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Mugen Souls, Akibastrip... and so on--the less-popular niche titles. I would like to dive into these, but have no idea where to begin.
I'd also like some assistance in finding a good way to determine whether an import game with be English friendly or not. Unfortunately, I haven't found any great dedicated channels or lists that adequately articulate what I'm looking for, so bonus points if anyone can help here!
Thanks

Well, I've been searching for a good chunk of the weekend for the above to no avail. So, I'd like to switch gears on this topic.
What niche Japanese recently (past few years) localized titles have you found the most enjoyable? Which ones best represent their genres?
