One thing you really need to factor into this setup is input lag. One adapter is bad enough, but to daisy chain what you are talking about might make the game unplayable if it even works.

The problem of input lag had occurred to me. However both adapters are touted as relatively lag free. I have been taking a close look at the CronusMax and reading/watching other people's experiences (Shoryuken.com, Youtube, etc.) I haven't seen any complaints about input lag yet.
That said, I only plan to try a Saturn controller on the Xbox One for the sheer novelty of it. I don't plan to make a regular thing of it because I'd have to bring a laptop with me in order to do it. Its just not worth it.
I'm very much considering a sub-$100 PS3 stick and the CronusMax as the semi-permanent solution here. I say semi-permanent because something better may come along eventually.
