Anybody own a 360 yet?

Unless they fix some of the issues -- especially the heat -- I probably won't be getting one

I don't really like what Microsoft did with the 360. For something that requires that much power, you'd think they would just use the standard PC power cord for the system. I believe Sony will find some way to crush M$ in the upcoming console wars. Of course, I hate Sony as well, so I'm not rooting for them to win, but they are the lesser of two evils...

Really though, I just hope Nintendo survives!

I didn’t buy a 360 at launch because it’s perpetuating the same lack of originality the XBoX, PS2 and GameCube did. There is nothing here but more graphic fire power. I bought my gamecube for 40 dollars off eBay and modded it for around 50 with a qoob pro. Fiew fun games, not worth the 500-1000 dollars it would of cost me if I had bought everything at launch, the only game I will be buying out of wanting to show support to the compnay is the Zelda Wind Waker game.

I bought a broken XBoX, fixed it and modded it into a emulation station for about 100 bucks, then got so hooked onto its moding potential I went and bought another one. If the XBoX 360 focused on being more of a high powered PC for your TV then a closed ended console with write protection so far out it’s ass it can’t even sit down to take a shit, I would be looking at one more seriously. I want saturn emultion damnit! Haveing to put disc into systems is so very 90's!!

A XBoX, imo, is a must have for anyone who downloads allot of movies and emulators. I cant stand the Halo Series, the only games I’ve really enjoyed on it was Gun and Ninja Gaiden Black, which were pretty damn good, so good I be purchaseing legitimate copies of them. I don’t count the Street Fighter / Neo Geo and other ported games on it for obvious reasons.

I got a PS2 way along time ago on the lunch day when I was living in Japan. I so loved the old PSX games, they really had allot of flare to them, they made me want to keep playing, but the only game that has come out that has made me want to play it though has been Resident Evil 4, I mean come on people, is this the best you can do, and thats a gamecube port, how did you guys go from the PSX to the PS2, did you hand the job of comming up with decent games over to dyslexic crack whores and they ended up spending the money on crack!?

What happened to trying to make a kick ass launch game? SNES had Mario World, GEN has Sonic, N64 had Mario 64, Saturn had Virtual Fighter, the PSX has F-Zero, there was alwayse some “OMFG! I MUST HAVE THAT GAME” game to motivate people to buy the system! What in the name of God is motivating me to buy a 360?! More god damned sports games I’ll see in the bargen bin in 3 months?! Jello tittes in DOA ? Sorry, there is this little thing called porn, and the internet, Free Porn > DOA every time. WWWWARRGGG!!!! NO NO NO NO!! Make some kind of “Amazeing” game, that makes me want to go out and drop 400 dollars on a system.

Why in the hell would I drop that kind of money on a system with no games worth me taking a dump on. They should of gotten with SNK and made some uber pwn-a-riffic 3D metal slug that blew everyone away, or with Sega and made another Nights or Burning Rangers game, or something totally new and unlike anything anyone’s seen. This is a lame-ass trend I hope stops soon.

The 360 isnt out in my region yet but I'm not that interested in it. The only launch title I have some interest in is Project Gotham 3, but apart from that and maybe the Sonic title there are not enough games I would like to play on it. I usually wouldn't get a system until there are at least 6 or so games I want on it.

PSX and F-Zero? Huh? F-Zero is a Nintendo first party game (recently whored to sega for an arcade version). The game that made me buy a PS1 was Tekken.

My friend has just bought an xbox 360 Core pack, and has slapped it straight onto ebay without even opening it up!

I'm not too bothered about new consoles these days. I tend to play my old consoles a lot more than new ones. Lack of good games are killing the games industry atm.

I hope that the Rev is gonna buck the trend, i'm definately going to import a Rev and then buy a PAL system when it's released in the UK.

Never played the arcade version, but F-Zero GX on the Cube rocked hard.
Sega and Nintendo hooking up for that project was awesome -- hope they collaborate more in the future :)
