I know it is a bit off-topic here, but I've been wondering about starting to play DW, but there are several games in the series and my time is limited. Where should I start?

Ivo.

In my opinion, you should try DW 3 or DW 5. The very first DW is a one on one fighting game, completely unlike the rest of the series. So you can skip that. I never played DW2, but a friend of mind said that DW3 was better in every way. There were certain things about DW 4 I didn't like(like the duel system) and DW 6 made some major changes to the series so it's not a good place to start.

My first DW game was DW3. DW 5 is a bit more polished than DW 3, but I still like DW3 for having certain elements that they moved away from in later games, like the purple element death weapons that could be acquired for some characters if you could overcome some tough challenges on the hardest difficulty setting.
