I want to use the GS Mode selector so that I can run certain games in 240p. I have looked online and cannot seem to figure out how to do so. Would someone be interested in installing it to my PS2?

Do not run metal gear solid 2 sons of liberty or substance 240p mode, your eye will be fucked like a sezuire, I'm not kidding. I forgot how I did it possibly through GSM. It messes with your eyes watery, squint, and can't play it further than 10 minutes. I start to look away and shutdown. 240p hardcore 3d games are not meant to be plàyed

I mainly wanted to use it for 2D games and arcade compilations. Games that were originally 240p but upscaled to 480i.

You should be able to just extract it to a flash drive, then run the .ELF file through something like ULaunchX. GSM is also built into Open PS2 Loader now.

You'll want to run it each time, anyway, as opposed to auto-starting, because a lot of games don't look right at all (or even work) in some of the video modes. Stuff like Contra: Shattered Soldier will crash on the opening movie unless you have it set to autoskip, most of the SMT games pixellate significantly, and many games will only work in one of the interlaced modes.
