So I'm watching this documentary on this guy trying to collect every nes licensed game in 30 days.
Has anyone watched this? I'm watching it now and it seems ok so far except the fact that there not saying how much he's buying these games at and I really think that his friends gave him these games but hes going to have to give them back.
Now it says he's not getting any money from the Internet or his friends or anything just his money.
What are your thoughts on this documentary.

Deep pocketed attention whore. Not doing anything a lot of others haven't done already and at the pace going, sadly at whatever the cost can be sustained by their budget (or a loan they received) can do. Sure it may be interesting to see, but it's just more negative (positive?) press that'll bring in more interest and keep the slide going.

Remember Sega does what Nintendon't -- such as crappy prices being uncommon. :)

    you crack me up buddy. I watched the movie and spoilers he collected 658 out of 676 or 678 nes games. He went thru ebay and seen a private collector who had two copies of stadium events in box.
For me it was ok. But DAMN all that money towards nes games. His first 3 stops with his friends he got like snow bros, contra force, some rare gems. I'm asking myself my god his friends are just selling him these games cheap or just giving it to him just for the documentary and just give it back.

Well there's a chance you're right, or even they 'gave' him them at a deal of a price, whatever the case may be. Ever since those game chasers chumps like 5 years ago or so found like samson and flintstones 2 at an outdoor vendor at the same booth/time and paid almost nothing for them I don't believe any of it as even then people were informed on titles like that, just not the second tier junk like the other taito stuff or zombie nation.

Just played bonks adventure on my nes. It's not even worth 75.00. And it's one of the rarest games. Rather spend my money on a turbo duo and some games for that price if I needed to spend it on games

Agreed sold mine for 300 over a year ago then later got the Famicom release for $20. Made more sense as it's good but not worth keeping.

I made it 14 minutes into this and shut it off. Nothing likable about anyone in the film. AS soon as he started the quest I couldn't turn it off fast enough.

It wasn't even the "my friends are giving me all these rare games for nothing because (but not really giving them)" - it was the talking heads over-dramatizing this 30 day quest as some kind of life changing event where he'll "expand his horizons and meet new people" and his YOLO attitude like getting video games means he won't have to have a day job.

Just awful.
