There's a whole campaign mode. I believe it's supposed to be quite lengthy and a decent sized experience.

I've only played it twice though, so can't really comment... The main fun comes from the multiplayer!

It's probably 4 or 5 hours long, but it's mainly a really long tutorial. It's not bad by any means, but it's as thoughtlessly tacked on as most CoD games' campaigns are.
