SMS 1&2 Buttons to Replace B&A Buttons for PIL Game Boy?

Are Sega Master System controller buttons (Just 1 and 2) able to be fitted into the B and A spaces? Also, a recommended backlight for Deep Black PIL Game Boy for under $15?

I don't think so. I think the SMS buttons are a bit bigger in circumference. Novel idea, but I don't think the sizes match.

I agree, I looked at my SMS controller and Game Boy buttons and they did look bigger. Maybe I can find the dimensions...
