Multiplayer Famicom Games

Post by grandta13 »

I am looking to get some recommendations for fun multiplayer Famicom games. I'm open to pretty much any game, as long as it isn't menu-based or dialogue-based (I can read most main menu items, but I can't read Japanese well enough for context-sensitive gameplay). Thanks for any suggestions.

Crisis Force is an excellent (albeit easy) 2 player simultaneous shooter.

Are you looking for Japanese-exclusive titles? If not, Bubble Bobble is *where it's at* for 2-player 8-bit funtimes!

Thanks for the suggestion, and no, I am not just interested in Japanese exclusives. I recently acquired a Famicom and am interested in expanding my library, so I figured I may as well get games I'm likely to play.

If you're not looking just at exclusives, you could throw in Twinbee 3, Salamander, Bomberman 2, Battletoads, and Double Dragon 2 & 3.
