Help with using N64 Passport codes

So I have a pal N64 and a passport (I believe the first one, it simply says 'N64 Passport' on the label). It plays imports fine such as custom robo, however I was wondering how to use codes for my fellow pal games using the passport, I can't seem to figure this one out/ cannot get a pal game to boot through the passport by any means. Any help would be appreciated

Hey, sorry, but I think k I am misunderstanding something. You are trying to boot a PAL game on the Passport using a PAL N64? Do you really need the passport at all?

Also, what television are you using, and passports use a boot game. What game are you using?

sorry for not being clear, I want to run pal n64 games on my pal n64 using the passport yes so I can use the codes for cheats and such.
