Besides Melee and Metroid Prime, every first party Wii release was better than the Gamecube counterpart.
Does library = first party games? Skies of Arcadia, Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil, Ikaruga, Pacman Vs, Prince of Persia SOT, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Soul Calibur II, Killer7, Tales of Syphonia, Rogue Squadron etc. Not saying Wii doesn't have good games that are not made by Nintendo, but comparing 3rd person party support, the GC was much better supported.
F-Zero GX and Pikmin 2 - did not even receive sequels on the Wii.
As for Wii first party vs GC counter parts, I think many Zelda fans would say that Windwaker is a better game than Skyward Sword.
Mario Kart Double Dash vs Mario Kart Wii? I'd go with Double Dash pretty easily.
I think who had the better Paper Mario would be a good debate, I never cared for them myself.
I don't even think Galaxy 1 was better than Sunshine to be honest (an unpopular opinion admittedly). I do think Galaxy 2 was better than both though.
It's a fun debate, but I think most would like GC's versions of Nintendo games vs Wii ones. At least I do personally.
Plus I never said the Gamecube had a better library than the Wii, just that the Wii was more overrated relative to the GC's.
