Where do you preorder it, the eShop?

This. New characters is one thing. 16 new courses is amazing. But some battle arenas are needed.

This DLC brings up a really great question for people. People say, "This is it for Mario Kart. They have run out of ideas," when the game came out. Including new characters outside of the franchise opens the world up to some crazy possibilities in terms of what types of courses and the many characters involved.

Would it be a bad idea to make Mario more like Smash Bros. and include a plethora of characters within the Nintendo universe?

For me, I think the more the merrier. Nintendo has built up such a huge roster of characters and worlds that it would seem the natural progression for them to be included in the Mario sub-genres of Mario Party and the ginormous Mario Sports games. Imagine a Mario Party were Link is playable and one of the boards is in Hyrule. Does that cheapen the Zelda franchise?

People say that Mario was cheapened by all the other Mario games, but people do not scoff them as being unplayable or bad. Some, like Mario Kart, are revered as being amazing. Other games, like Mario Golf, are always looked at with high regard.

Like I said, the more the merrier as it would be a nice change. Could you imagine an Earthbound board in Mario Party? Sign me up!

I'd rather have them start adding other nintendo characters than have ALL the Koopa kids again.

So let me get this straight, the only way to get the different colored yoshis is by pre-ordering?

No. You will unlock the multi-colored yoshi's when you purchase the DLC. If you pre-order it, that just means you get those extra colors right away.

The Mercedes Benz DLC is already out and is optional. Also, they don't look that bad. It isn't like those karts give you an extra advantage.

Somewhat confused by this statement as the koopa kids can't be added again...they are already there. Also, they are adding other Nintendo characters. And what is wrong with the Koopa Kids? They all are distinguishably different looking and have personality that is unique to them. I could see people being more upset over Metal Mario and Pink Gold Peach than the Koopa Kids.

You have to buy both packs to get the multi-color Yoshi and Shy Guy. But pre-purchase isn't required.

The only advantage to pre-ordering is you can use the multi-color Yoshi and Shy Guys immediately.

IDK if this was already talked about, so...

Has anyone updated to 2.0 yet? The first thing I noticed was on the main menu you can now press the minus button to bring up a stat window. Of the many stats listed, coins collected is there. This was something I've wished for, and I know a few others have mentioned it as well.
