a good and cheap way to play emulators on the gamecube and simple since most emulators now support
loading roms from sd cards.

Wow! I'm gonna have to look into this!
Do you happen to have any experience with it, arion?

yeah i just bought it recently and like i said it was really worth it..the 1gb sd card that comes with it is more than enough for a good collection nes and snes roms..and getting emulators that support sd cards to work is as easy as copy and paste..currently i have tried nes and snes.

Nes emulation for the most part is good although some high ptiched sounds dont seem to come out right such as the sound when mario collects coins does sound a bit off but aside from that its good.

Snes however is just perfect i couldn belive the quality of the sound and there is almost perfect framerate and the emulator allows saving on the sd card. Only downside is that you might need to adjust your joypad settings if you use a gamecube controller but thats just nit picking really.

there is also a turbografx emulator that supports sd cards but i have yet to try it (been to busy with the snes emu)

im going to try out more emulators soon tho

This thing looks pretty cool! I may have to get one. :)

Do you have GCN component cables? I'm wondering if these emulators work in 480p. :?:

Edit: My first post was ridiculous so heres another try.

I prefer the SD Gecko + Action Replay. First off, you get a copy of FreeLoader right on the disc. Secondly, you can use not only your gecko to store homebrew on, but also original nintendo 59- or 251-block card. I've actually got some memory cards I loaded with GCOS and Snes9x to sell that I should put up in the Buy/Sell/Trade.
