Some old games for old memories

So my bro picks me up, since I blew the motor in my car, and we head out to the gun range which doubles as a pawn shop. I didn't know it was a pawn shop until I was ready to go home but my bro decided to have a look see. I spotted the N64 games from a distance and asked to see them. It was mostly sports games and you know how those are, bleh :P. Except Fifa and that awesome song. WooHoo!

I spot some 007 Goldeneye, Turok, and Turok 2. I buy these and a rumble pack all for 2 bucks a piece. I am glad as heck to finally get some games for my N64. Total of 8 something I hand her a 20 she gives me a dollar back and I tell her I gave her a twenty. We argue and then I end up with 10 dollars gone. Bullstuff, I tell you.

I hit Turok and immediately I am stunned. I used to like this game. Played it a bunch. People explode, blood is everywhere, and the main character seems to me like a bad depiction of a Native American (Turokian,). It's so violent. I can't believe my eyes. All my nostalgia and it seems I led myself to conjure the memory to something it wasn't. I hope I don't feel this way when I finally get my hands on Starfox 64 and Zelda.

So you let the $20 bill go?
How does that work?

Well he was at a gun range after all. He just let her borrow some of his molten lead. :P

Yup, I just could not prove it. Except for telling her repeatedly that I gave her a 20 and her standing there with her sidearm, like every other employee there, looking at me like I am robbing her.

In a situation like that you ask for the manager on duty to count the register, and you watch her to make sure she doesn't mess with the cash tray. I believe they have to count the register for you to make sure it all adds up. If the register is about as many dollars off as you say you gave her then you're right and you get your money back. That's how you prove you it without it being just he said she said. Any good business, even a pawn shop, should have a policy about that.
