Some old games for old memories

So my bro picks me up, since I blew the motor in my car, and we head out to the gun range which doubles as a pawn shop. I didn't know it was a pawn shop until I was ready to go home but my bro decided to have a look see. I spotted the N64 games from a distance and asked to see them. It was mostly sports games and you know how those are, bleh . Except Fifa and that awesome song. WooHoo!
I spot some 007 Goldeneye, Turok, and Turok 2. I buy these and a rumble pack all for 2 bucks a piece. I am glad as heck to finally get some games for my N64. Total of 8 something I hand her a 20 she gives me a dollar back and I tell her I gave her a twenty. We argue and then I end up with 10 dollars gone. Bullstuff, I tell you.
I hit Turok and immediately I am stunned. I used to like this game. Played it a bunch. People explode, blood is everywhere, and the main character seems to me like a bad depiction of a Native American (Turokian, ). It's so violent. I can't believe my eyes. All my nostalgia and it seems I led myself to conjure the memory to something it wasn't. I hope I don't feel this way when I finally get my hands on Starfox 64 and Zelda.
