The Virtual Console (Future & Current) Release Thread
The Virtual Console (Future & Current) Release Thread
I'm not going to do blog posts about every Virtual Console Release anymore, so I'll just post what's going on in here.
If there is something terribly exciting, I may blog about it, but I figured the short little blurbs would be better in here.
Today, from Kotaku:
"The ESRB ratings site updated recently with a potential look at some upcoming Virtual Console games for the Nintendo Wii. Newly rated and updated games that could potentially hit the Wii Shop Channel any day now include the Konami published games Zombies Ate My Neighbors!, Castlevania, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Gradius III. A listing for Nintendo's classic NES racer Excitebike also reared its helmeted head."

Did I miss something? What was bad about the Anthology? I would think that a retail compilation disk would be better than emulation on the Virtual Console

No Dpad support and some of the boss flashes were lessened or completely taken out. The problems were only on the Wii version. I personally would just take the PS2 version instead. Or just keep playing them on the compy.racketboy wrote:metaleggman wrote:racketboy wrote:Neo-Geo is on its way:

And video is slightly cut-off on the bottom (most obvious during the character selection screens) due to the video being stretched to full screen width. There is some slow-down, too, but I'm not sure it wasn't present on the original hardware too. But hey, $40 for the Wii disc vs. a kings ransom for an MVS/AES and all the carts.
(but yes, I agree, MAME on the PC or Xbox is the way to go for these )
