Capcom was supposed to make a game called Mega Man Mania which was later renamed Gameboy Anniversary Collection for the Gameboy Advance. It was a compilation of Mega Man 1-5 that was on the original Gameboy. They cancelled production of the game. I have emailed them with my displeasure of the cancellation as have many others. If you would like to see this game made please email Capcom and politely let them know how you feel. It would have been great to have all of the oldschool MM games colorized for a current gen handheld.
Was it a Capcom USA project or a Capcom jp project? Capcom USA has the ability to do things independantly now which is why we have gotten some lackluster "collections" or so I'm told.
Mega man collection for the gamecube is a disappointment.
On most of the games, the fire and jump are completely swapped from the positions they were on the NES... A becomes B, B becomes A
Annoying to say the least...
I am still putting my GBA to a lot of use. It's not dead yet. Capcom should realize that. Summon Night 2 just came out, and Yggdra Union hits next month along with FF5. Yggdra is looking like the most visually advanced RPG for the platform, at least in the area of presentation and GUI.
I remember when CAPCOM anounnced that MegaMan Anninvasry Collection was supposed to be released on the GBA (just like what the consoles got minus the extra's)...
